Sean Patrick Michael McNamara, born on May 9, 1962, is an American film director, producer, actor, and screenwriter. He began his career as a producer for the children's television series Kids Incorporated, which aired from 1984 to 1994. His directorial debut was with the independent film Hollywood Chaos in 1989. He also produced the Nickelodeon science fiction series The Secret World of Alex Mack, which aired from 1994 to 1998. McNamara gained recognition through his work on the Disney Channel comedy series Even Stevens, serving as executive producer and director. He directed the television film The Even Stevens Movie, which earned him a BAFTA Award and nominations for three Daytime Emmy Awards and three Directors Guild of America Awards. His filmography includes Raise Your Voice, which was his first widely released film, and work on the Disney Channel sitcom That's So Raven, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2005. Since the late 2000s, McNamara has directed several feature films including Bratz, Soul Surfer, Spare Parts, The Miracle Season, The King's Daughter, and Reagan.
