Samin Nosrat is an Iranian-American chef, television host, food writer, and podcaster born on November 7, 1979. She is known for authoring the James Beard Award-winning and New York Times bestselling cookbook Salt Fat Acid Heat, which also inspired a Netflix documentary series of the same name. Nosrat served as a food columnist for The New York Times Magazine from 2017 to 2021. In addition to her work in print and television, she is a co-host of the podcast Home Cooking. She has published a second book titled Good Things.
