Kate Marie Nash, born on July 6, 1987, is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and actress. She gained prominence with singles such as Foundations and Do-Wah-Doo, which charted at numbers two and fifteen on the UK singles chart. Her albums Made of Bricks and My Best Friend Is You reached number one and number eight on the UK Albums Chart. Nash initially found success in the indie pop genre, but after an attempt to diversify her sound, she was dropped by her record label. Subsequently, she released three EPs and continued her music career independently, producing albums including Girl Talk, Yesterday Was Forever, and 9 Sad Symphonies, the latter released in 2024 on Kill Rock Stars.
