Katrina Matthews, born on 13 March 1991, is an English professional triathlete specializing in non-drafting, long-distance events. She has achieved notable results including second places at the 2021 Ironman World Championship in Utah, the 2024 Ironman World Championship in Nice, France, and the 2025 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. Matthews also secured podium finishes at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships held in Lahti, Finland, in 2023 and in Taupō, New Zealand, in 2024. In 2024, she won the inaugural Ironman Pro Series, establishing herself as a leading competitor in the sport. In April 2025, Matthews set an Ironman Triathlon World record with a time of 8 hours, 10 minutes, and 34 seconds, during the Ironman Texas race. Prior to her triathlon career, she was a member of the BMC Pro triathlon team and worked as a physiotherapist officer within the British Army.
