Joseph John Cole, born on November 8, 1981, is a former professional footballer and current coach affiliated with The RightPath. As an attacking midfielder and winger, Cole began his career with West Ham United, breaking into the first team in January 1999 and making over 120 Premier League appearances during his time there. Following West Ham's relegation to the Football League First Division, he transferred to Chelsea in 2003, where he played for seven seasons, appearing in over 280 games across all competitions. During his tenure at Chelsea, he won seven trophies, including three Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and a League Cup. After leaving Chelsea on a free transfer in 2010, Cole joined Liverpool, was loaned to Lille in France, and later returned to Liverpool. He eventually re-joined West Ham United in 2013 and later played for Aston Villa, with loan and permanent stints at Coventry City. Internationally, Cole represented England at various youth levels and was a full international from 2001 to 2010, earning 56 caps and scoring 10 goals. He was part of the England squads for the World Cups in 2002, 2006, and 2010, as well as Euro 2004. Retiring from playing in 2018, Cole transitioned into coaching and has been involved in coaching roles at Chelsea.
