Eddie Reynolds: podcast appearances and interviews

Eddie Reynolds was a Northern Irish footballer known for his prolific goal-scoring and significant contributions to Wimbledon FC during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Joining Wimbledon from Tooting & Mitcham United FC in the 1957/58 season, he scored 17 goals in his first 20 appearances and maintained his scoring prowess over the next seven seasons. During his tenure, Wimbledon secured the Isthmian League title four times, including three consecutive victories, and won the FA Amateur Cup in 1963. Reynolds's most notable achievement was scoring all four goals with his head in Wimbledon's 4-2 victory over Sutton United in the 1963 FA Amateur Cup final, making him the only player in history to score four headed goals in a Wembley cup final. In his final full season with Wimbledon, 1964/65, he scored 57 goals in 49 appearances, contributing extensively to the team's success before transferring to Ashford Town and later playing for Derry City FC in Northern Ireland. Reynolds passed away in 1993 after a brief illness. His legacy is commemorated by Reynolds Gate, a housing estate at the site of Wimbledon's former Plough Lane stadium, which was renamed in his honor in 2008.
