Aaron Kyle Tveit is an American actor and singer born on October 21, 1983. He is recognized for originating the lead role of Christian in the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! a performance that earned him the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. His portrayal of Christian also garnered a Grammy Award nomination. Tveit's extensive work on Broadway includes starring roles in Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street as the title character; Freddie Trumper in Chess; Fiyero Tigelaar in Wicked; and originating roles such as Gabe Goodman in Next to Normal and Frank Abagnale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can. Additionally, he played John Wilkes Booth in an Off West End production of Assassins. Outside of the stage, Tveit has appeared in film adaptations including as Enjolras in Les Misérables (2012) and as Danny Zuko in Fox's Grease Live (2016).
