Rachel Anne Zegler, born on May 3, 2001, is an American actress and singer. She gained recognition for her portrayal of María in Steven Spielberg's adaptation of West Side Story released in 2021, a performance that earned her the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. Zegler has since taken on roles in various film genres, including Anthea in Shazam! Fury of the Gods in 2023 and Lucy Gray Baird in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes also in 2023. She is set to star as the titular character in the musical fantasy Snow White scheduled for 2025.
