David Nesta Ziggy Marley, born on October 17, 1968, is a Jamaican reggae musician, songwriter, producer, author, and philanthropist. As the eldest son of Bob Marley and Rita Marley, he led the family band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers until 2002, releasing eight studio albums. He then launched a solo career under his label Tuff Gong Worldwide. Marley has received eight Grammy Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award for his work.
