Michael Gerard Tyson, born on June 30, 1966, is an American former professional boxer and a cannabis entrepreneur. Known by nicknames such as Iron Mike and Kid Dynamite in his early career, Tyson is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time and is recognized as one of the most intimidating figures in boxing history. He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990 and is noted for winning his first 19 professional fights by knockout, with 12 of those victories occurring in the first round.
