Zazie Beetz: podcast appearances and interviews

Zazie Olivia Beetz was born on June 1, 1991, and is a German-American actress. She is recognized for her role as Van in the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta, which aired from 2016 to 2022, and for which she received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Beetz also starred in the Netflix anthology series Easy from 2016 to 2019 and has provided the voice of Amber Bennett in the adult animated superhero series Invincible since 2021. In film, she appeared in the disaster film Geostorm in 2017 and portrayed the Marvel Comics character Domino in the superhero film Deadpool 2 in 2018, earning a Teen Choice Award nomination for Choice Summer Movie Actress. She played the neighbor of the title character in the psychological thriller Joker in 2019, which led to a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, and reprised her role in the sequel Joker: Folie à Deux in 2024. Beetz has also lent her voice to the character Diane Foxington, also known as the Crimson Paw, in the DreamWorks Animation film The Bad Guys in 2022 and its sequel The Bad Guys 2 scheduled for 2025, which earned her a Black Reel Award nomination for Outstanding Voice Performance.
