Ryan Thomas Gosling is a Canadian actor born on November 12, 1980. He began his acting career at the age of 13 with a role on Disney Channel's The All New Mickey Mouse Club and subsequently appeared in family entertainment programs such as Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Goosebumps. His first feature film role was as Kenny in Frankenstein and Me in 1996, and his breakthrough came with the film Remember the Titans in 2000. Gosling gained critical recognition for his performance as a Jewish neo Nazi in The Believer in 2001 and achieved mainstream popularity with the romantic drama The Notebook in 2004.
