Patricia Arquette is an American actress born on April 8, 1968. She has received numerous awards including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Arquette made her feature film debut in 1987 playing Kristen Parker in the fantasy slasher film A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. She has since starred in several critically acclaimed films such as True Romance, Ed Wood, Flirting with Disaster, Lost Highway, The Hi-Lo Country, Bringing Out the Dead, and Holes. Her performance as a single mother in the coming-of-age film Boyhood, which was shot over a span of 12 years, earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In television, Arquette starred as a character based on medium Allison DuBois in the supernatural drama series Medium from 2005 to 2011, earning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2005.
