Sue Foley: podcast appearances and interviews

Sue Foley, born on March 29, 1968, is a Canadian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter recognized for her Texas blues style and acoustic touch. She has achieved significant acclaim in the blues community and has been honored with five Blues Music Awards for Traditional Blues Female. Foley has also received a Juno Award and has performed alongside renowned musicians including B.B. King and Buddy Guy. In 2024, she released the album One Guitar Woman: A Tribute to The Female Pioneers of Guitar, which garnered a Grammy Award nomination in 2025 for Best Traditional Blues Album. Beyond her performing career, Foley holds a PhD in Musicology and is the author of the forthcoming book Guitar Women, which explores the lives and legacies of pioneering female guitarists.
