Joe Bonamassa: podcast appearances and interviews

Joseph Leonard Bonamassa, born on May 8, 1977, is an American blues rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He launched his music career at the age of twelve when he opened for B.B. King. Since 2000, he has released seventeen solo studio albums through his independent record label J&R Adventures. As of his latest album, Breakthrough (2025), Bonamassa holds the record for the most No. 1 blues albums with twenty-nine, and a total of thirty including a collaboration with B.B. King on the album Blues Summit 100 in 2026. Throughout his career, he has performed alongside numerous notable blues and rock artists and has received five Grammy Award nominations. Bonamassa is recognized among guitarists for his extensive collection of vintage guitars and amplifiers. In 2011, he founded the nonprofit organization Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation to support blues music. In 2020, he established Keeping the Blues Alive Records, an independent label dedicated to promoting and supporting blues musicians. The label has signed artists such as Dion, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Joanna Connor, and Larry McCray, with Bonamassa often producing and collaborating on their projects.
