Stephen Malkmus: podcast appearances and interviews

Stephen Joseph Malkmus is an American musician born on May 30, 1966. He is best known as the primary songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist of the indie rock band Pavement. The band started as a duo and eventually expanded to a quintet, releasing five studio albums before disbanding in 1999. Throughout and after his time with Pavement, Malkmus has participated in several side projects, including contributing guitar work on three albums with Silver Jews. Following Pavement's breakup, he embarked on a solo career with his backing band the Jicks. Malkmus currently performs with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Pavement, The Hard Quartet, and as a solo artist.
