Stephen Joseph Graham, born on August 3, 1973, is an English actor, producer, and screenwriter known for his work in film and television. He has received numerous accolades including seven British Academy Television Award nominations, winning once, and one British Academy Film Award nomination. Grahams career began in 1990, and he gained recognition through roles in films such as Snatch and Gangs of New York. His breakthrough role was as Andrew Combo Gascoigne in the film This Is England. His filmography includes appearances in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Dead Men Tell No Tales, Rocketman, The Irishman, Boiling Point and its sequel series, and Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Venom: The Last Dance. On television, Graham has portrayed Combo in the series adaptations of This Is England and has starred in drama series including Little Boy Blue, Line of Duty, Boardwalk Empire, Time, and Peaky Blinders. He created, co-wrote, and executive produced the miniseries Adolescence, which premiered in 2025. For his work on this series, he won Emmy Awards for Lead Actor, Writer, and Executive Producer. In 2020, Graham co-founded the production company Matriarch Productions with his wife Hannah Walters.
