Sophie Kerttu Scott, born on 16 November 1966, is a British neuroscientist and a Wellcome Trust Senior Fellow at University College London. Her research focuses on the cognitive neuroscience of voices, speech, and laughter, with particular emphasis on speech perception, speech production, vocal emotions, and human communication. She serves as the director of UCL's Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience.
