Sarah Michelle Prinze, born on April 14, 1977, is an American actress known for portraying strong female characters in both film and television. She began her career in the entertainment industry after being discovered by a talent agent as a child and made her television debut at age five. Her early work included the syndicated teen drama series Swans Crossing, her first leading role, and she gained further recognition through her portrayal of Kendall Hart on the ABC soap opera All My Children, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award. Gellar achieved international fame as Buffy Summers on the supernatural series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired from 1997 to 2003 and earned her a Saturn Award and a Golden Globe nomination. In addition to her television achievements, she has appeared in numerous films, including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, Scooby-Doo and its sequel, The Grudge, Southland Tales, Do Revenge, and Ready or Not. Her other television credits include Ringer, The Crazy Ones, Wolf Pack, and Dexter: Original Sin. Gellar has also contributed as a voice actor in projects such as Small Soldiers, Robot Chicken, TMNT, Star Wars Rebels, and Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
