Michael Bakari Jordan, born on February 9, 1987, is an American actor, producer, and director. His career began with television roles, including Wallace in the first season of HBO's The Wire, and appearances in the ABC soap opera All My Children and the NBC series Friday Night Lights. He gained further recognition with the HBO television film Fahrenheit 451, for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. Jordan's breakthrough in film came with his portrayal of Oscar Grant in Ryan Coogler's biopic Fruitvale Station, which was critically acclaimed.
