About Robin McAuley

Robin McAuley, born on 20 January 1953, is an Irish singer known for his work as a solo artist and as a member of several notable rock bands. He gained prominence as the vocalist for the McAuley Schenker Group from 1986 to 1993, during which the band released three studio albums: Perfect Timing, Save Yourself, and M.S.G. Additionally, they produced a live album titled Unplugged Live and a Japan-only EP called Nightmare The Acoustic M.S.G. McAuley reunited with Michael Schenker in 2012 and participated in Michael Schenker Fest in 2016, performing alongside original M.S.G. singers Gary Barden and Graham Bonnet and Doogie White of Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock. His recorded work includes a 1985 single of Eloise, originally by Paul and Barry Ryan, and a 1991 song called Teach Me How to Dream, which featured on the soundtrack for the film If Looks Could Kill. McAuley has collaborated with bands such as Grand Prix, Survivor, and Far Corporation, contributing vocals on Far Corporation's UK chart-topping version of Stairway to Heaven. In 1999, he released a solo album titled Business As Usual, created with the assistance of Frankie Sullivan, a future Survivor bandmate. He is a longstanding member of the Raiding the Rock Vault cast and is also the vocalist for Black Swan, a project featuring Reb Beach, Jeff Pilson, and Matt Starr. Black Swan's debut album Shake the World was released in February 2020, which McAuley considers his favorite recording to date. McAuley has performed alongside his son Casey and was a headliner at the Firefest Festival in Manchester in October 2024.
