Joel Hoekstra: podcast appearances and interviews

Joel Hoekstra, born on December 13, 1970, is an American musician recognized for his work as a guitarist and solo artist. He is notably a member of the hard rock band Whitesnake and is also a touring guitarist for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Hoekstra was raised in Orland Park, a suburb of Chicago, in a family of classical musicians. He initially played cello and piano during his early years; however, his interest in the guitar was sparked after hearing Angus Young of AC/DC. Since relocating to New York City in 2001, Hoekstra has collaborated with a variety of artists and musical projects. His performances extend beyond Whitesnake and TSO to include work with Cher and Night Ranger. Additionally, he served as the lead guitarist in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages and made a cameo appearance in its film adaptation alongside other notable artists. Hoekstra’s diverse career demonstrates his versatility within the music industry, encompassing studio recordings, live performances, and theatrical productions.
