Rob Blake: podcast appearances and interviews

Rob Blake, born on December 10, 1969, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and a Hockey Hall of Famer. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 1988 and played in the 1993 Stanley Cup Final. During his initial 11 seasons with the Kings, Blake served as team captain for five seasons, won the James Norris Memorial Trophy, and was recognized for his leadership on the ice. In 2001, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche and contributed to their Stanley Cup championship that year. Blake returned to the Kings for two seasons before signing with the San Jose Sharks in 2008, where he retired as team captain after the 2009–10 season. His international career includes representing Canada in three Winter Olympics in 1998, 2002, and 2006; he secured a gold medal in 2002 and became the 11th member of the Triple Gold Club. Blake was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014 and was also enshrined in the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2018. Following his playing career, he has held executive roles, including his position as the executive vice president of hockey operations for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League. Blake's achievements reflect a distinguished career both on the ice and in hockey administration.
