Jeremy Roenick: podcast appearances and interviews

Jeremy Shaffer Roenick is an American former professional ice hockey player who played as a center in the National Hockey League for 20 seasons. During his career, he played for the Chicago Blackhawks, Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks. Roenick demonstrated his skill early in his career with Thayer Academy and was drafted eighth overall by the Blackhawks in 1988 at the age of 18. After spending part of his initial season with the Hull Olympiques of the QMJHL, he was called up to the Blackhawks and made an immediate impact. He achieved multiple 20-goal seasons and recorded four consecutive seasons with at least 40 goals, including 50 goals in the 1991–92 and 1992–93 seasons. In 1992, he reached the Stanley Cup Final with the Blackhawks. Injuries later affected his tenure with Chicago, leading to a trade to the Coyotes in 1996, where he maintained consistent goal production. He later signed as a free agent with the Flyers in 2001, during which he reached a milestone of 1,000 points. Additional team stints included the Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, and San Jose Sharks, with whom he concluded his career. By 2007, Roenick became the third American-born player to reach 500 goals and was among a select group of players with over 500 goals and 700 assists in league history. He retired in 2009 with 513 goals and 703 assists across 1,363 games. Roenick also represented the United States in international tournaments and later worked as a hockey analyst for NBC Sports. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2024.
