Phil LaMarr, born in 1967, is an American actor and comedian with a diverse career in television, film, and voice acting. He was one of the original featured cast members on the sketch comedy series Mad TV, remaining with the show for five seasons. LaMarr's voice acting work includes a wide range of animated series; he is known for voicing the title character of Samurai Jack, as well as John Stewart and Green Lantern, and Virgil Hawkins or Static in the DC Animated Universe, which encompasses the series Static Shock, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited. His other notable voice roles include Hermes Conrad in Futurama, Bolbi Stroganofsky in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Carver Descartes in The Weekenders, and characters in Family Guy like Ollie Williams and Judge Dignified Q. Blackman, along with Wilt in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. LaMarr has also contributed voice work for video game franchises such as Metal Gear, Jak and Daxter, Darksiders, Final Fantasy, Infamous, Dead Island, Kingdom Hearts, and Mortal Kombat. His film appearances include roles in Pulp Fiction, Bio-Dome, Speaking of Sex, Spider-Man 2, and Real Steel.
