Lester Louis Adler, born December 13, 1933, is an American record and film producer known for his influential role in the music and entertainment industries. He has produced and developed a number of notable musical artists, including the Grass Roots, Jan and Dean, the Mamas & the Papas, and Carole King. Notably, he produced Carole King's album Tapestry, which won the 1972 Grammy Award for Album of the Year and is regarded as one of the greatest pop albums of all time. Adler is also recognized as a pioneer in film production, serving as an executive producer of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and he played a significant role in discovering and producing comedy albums and films for Cheech & Chong. As a co-owner of the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, California, Adler has contributed to the cultural landscape of Hollywood.
