Jonathan Frakes: podcast appearances and interviews

Jonathan Scott Frakes, born on August 19, 1952, is an American actor and director. He is renowned for his role as William Riker in the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as its subsequent films and series. In addition to his acting career, Frakes has hosted the anthology series Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction and provided the voice of David Xanatos in the Disney television series Gargoyles. He has also narrated the History Channel documentary Lee and Grant. Frakes is credited as the author of the novel The Abductors: Conspiracy, which was ghostwritten by Dean Wesley Smith. His directing career began during the third season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and he has directed episodes of numerous Star Trek series including Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Enterprise, Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Picard, and Starfleet Academy. He directed the feature films Star Trek: First Contact and Star Trek: Insurrection, as well as the films Clockstoppers and Thunderbirds. Frakes has directed extensively for television, contributing to series such as The Librarian films and series, Roswell, Leverage, Castle, and Burn Notice, demonstrating a diverse and prolific directing portfolio.
