Gary Roberts: podcast appearances and interviews

Gary R. Roberts, born on May 23, 1966, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and a cannabis entrepreneur. He played 21 seasons in the National Hockey League for various teams including the Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Tampa Bay Lightning. During his career, Roberts was known for his physical fitness and later became a high performance trainer working with players at all levels of the sport. He was a member of teams that won the Memorial Cup and the Minto Cup as Canadian junior hockey and box lacrosse champions, respectively. Roberts was selected 12th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 1984 NHL entry draft and spent ten seasons with the team. He contributed to the Flames' 1989 Stanley Cup victory and appeared in two NHL All-Star Games as a team representative. A severe neck injury caused him to miss significant portions of two seasons, but his perseverance was recognized when he received the 1996 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. After initially retiring following the 1995–96 season, Roberts returned to the NHL in 1997 with the Carolina Hurricanes, where he played three seasons. His career included additional stints with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Florida Panthers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Tampa Bay Lightning, ending in 2009. Over his career, Roberts played 1,224 games, scored 438 goals, and accumulated 910 points.
