Emeril John Lagasse III is an American chef, restaurateur, television personality, and cookbook author. He is recognized for his expertise in Creole and Cajun cuisine and has developed a distinctive style known as 'New New Orleans.' Lagasse has received the James Beard Award and was honored with the National Best Recipe award in 2003 for his 'Turkey and Hot Sausage Chili.' He has appeared on numerous cooking shows, including the long-running Food Network programs Emeril Live and Essence of Emeril.
