Desi Arnaz: podcast appearances and interviews

Desi Arnaz was a Cuban-American actor, musician, producer, and bandleader. He played Ricky Ricardo on the American television sitcom I Love Lucy, co-starring with his wife Lucille Ball. Arnaz and Ball are credited as the innovators of the syndicated rerun, a television distribution method they pioneered with the I Love Lucy series. Together, they co-founded and ran Desilu Productions, a television production company established initially to market I Love Lucy to networks. Following the end of the series, Arnaz produced several other television shows, including The Ann Sothern Show and The Untouchables, through Desilu and later independently. As a musician, he led the Desi Arnaz Orchestra and was known for playing conga drums. He helped popularize the conga line in the United States. Arnaz's contributions to television history include both his acting and his innovations in TV production and syndication.
