Derek Trucks is an American guitarist and songwriter known for his work with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. He founded The Derek Trucks Band and became an official member of The Allman Brothers Band in 1999. His musical style spans multiple genres, reflecting his versatility as a guitarist. In 2010, he formed the Tedeschi Trucks Band with his wife, blues singer and guitarist Susan Tedeschi. He has been recognized for his exceptional guitar playing, having appeared twice on Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. Derek Trucks is also the nephew of the late Butch Trucks, who was a drummer for the Allman Brothers Band.
