Colum McCann: podcast appearances and interviews

Colum McCann is an Irish writer of literary fiction born in Dublin on February 28, 1965. He currently resides in New York. McCann is the author of eight novels, including Apeirogon, Trans Atlantic, and Let the Great World Spin, which won the National Book Award. His work has been published in over 40 languages and featured in numerous American and international publications. In addition to his novels, he has published three collections of short stories, including Thirteen Ways of Looking. McCann is also known for his involvement in empathy education; he is the co founder and president of Narrative 4, an international nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering empathy through storytelling. His recent publications include the book American Mother, released in March 2024, which tells the story of Diane Foley and her son James Foley, who was captured and killed by ISIS while serving as a freelance combat reporter in Syria. His latest novel, Twist, was published in March 2025.
