Christopher Haden-Guest, 5th Baron Haden-Guest, born on February 5, 1948, is an American-British actor, comedian, screenwriter, and director. He is known for creating a series of comedy films shot in a mockumentary style, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. Guest co-wrote and acted in the rock satire This Is Spinal Tap in 1984, and directed several other satirical mockumentary films including Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, For Your Consideration, and Mascots. His acting credits also include roles in films such as Death Wish, Little Shop of Horrors, The Princess Bride, and A Few Good Men. He was a regular cast member on the tenth season of Saturday Night Live. Guest holds a hereditary British peerage as the fifth Baron Haden-Guest; he was an active member of the House of Lords from 1996 until the reforms of 1999 abolished his seat. He is married to actress Jamie Lee Curtis. His career spans multiple facets of entertainment, from acting and writing to directing, with his work often characterized by a satirical and comedic style.
