Christopher O'Dowd, born on October 9, 1979, is an Irish actor and comedian. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Roy Trenneman in the Channel 4 comedy The IT Crowd, which aired for four seasons from 2006 to 2010. O'Dowd has also appeared in a variety of films including Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, Gulliver's Travels, Bridesmaids, Friends with Kids, The Sapphires, Cuban Fury, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, and The Cloverfield Paradox. He created and starred in the Sky 1 television series Moone Boy, which aired from 2012 to 2015, earning him Irish Film and Television Award nominations for acting, writing, and directing.
