Christopher James Buck, born on February 24, 1958, is an American film director, animator, and screenwriter. He has co-directed several notable animated films including Tarzan (1999), Surf's Up (2007), which was nominated for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, and the highly acclaimed Frozen (2013), which won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2014. His work on Frozen and its sequel, Frozen II (2019), has contributed to his recognition within the industry. Buck's expertise also extends to the films Wish (2023), Pocahontas (1995), and Home on the Range (2004), where he served as a supervising animator and story artist. As a distinguished artist, he has received several awards, including an Academy Award, an Annie Award, and a BAFTA Award.
