Harry Lillis Crosby Jr. (May 3, 1903 – October 14, 1977) was an American singer and actor renowned for his influence in the music, film, and radio industries. He was a pioneering multimedia star who achieved widespread popularity and cultural impact during the 20th century. Crosby made over 70 feature films and recorded more than 1,600 songs, emerging as a leading figure in record sales, radio ratings, and motion picture grosses from 1926 to 1977. His recording innovations facilitated an intimate singing style that influenced many notable male singers, including Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, and John Lennon.
