Amory Lovins: podcast appearances and interviews

Amory Bloch Lovins is an American writer and physicist who is a co-founder of the Rocky Mountain Institute. He has served as the former chairman and chief scientist of the organization. Lovins has authored numerous works focusing on energy policy and sustainability over a career spanning four decades. His contributions include promoting energy efficiency, advocating for the use of renewable energy sources, and supporting the generation of energy at or near the point of consumption. He has also promoted the concept of a negawatt revolution, emphasizing that utility customers seek energy services rather than kilowatt-hours of electricity. In the 1990s, his work with the Rocky Mountain Institute involved designing an ultra-efficient automobile called the Hypercar. Lovins has provided expert testimony and published 31 books, among them Reinventing Fire, Winning the Oil Endgame, Small is Profitable, Brittle Power, and Natural Capitalism. He also served on the US National Petroleum Council, an oil industry lobbying group, from 2011 to 2018.
