Alicia Malone: podcast appearances and interviews

Alicia Maree Malone is an Australian–American author, film critic, television host, and historian known for her work with Turner Classic Movies. Born in Canberra on September 4, 1981, she developed an early interest in classic Hollywood films. After graduating from Canberra Girls Grammar School, she moved to Sydney with aspirations of working in television. Her early career included roles as a teleprompter operator at Channel Seven and various production positions. In 2006, she joined Movie Network Channels as a producer and editor, and began hosting film-related programming and conducting red carpet interviews at Australian film premieres. In 2010, Malone relocated to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in American television. She contributed as a press junket journalist for the Today show and interviewed numerous celebrities. Aside from her television work, she has hosted several podcasts and authored two non-fiction books focusing on women's involvement in film. In 2016, Malone was hired as a host for the streaming service FilmStruck, which subsequently led to her current role as a full-time host at Turner Classic Movies. Her career is marked by a dedication to film history and journalism, particularly spotlighting classic Hollywood cinema.
