Orville Willis Forte IV, born on June 17, 1970, is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He was a cast member and writer on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live for eight seasons from 2002 to 2010. During his time on the show, he created the popular recurring character MacGruber, a parody of MacGyver, which he reprised in the 2010 film adaptation and a 2021 limited series. Forte also created and starred in the sitcom The Last Man on Earth from 2015 to 2018, earning three Primetime Emmy Award nominations;two for acting and one for writing. In addition to his television work, he has appeared in various comedy films and starred in the drama film Nebraska in 2013. Forte has contributed voice roles to numerous animated productions, including the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs films, the Lego Movie franchise, and Scoob! where he voiced Shaggy Rogers. He has also provided voices for Abraham Lincoln in Clone High. His career spans multiple facets of entertainment, including acting, writing, and voice work, establishing him as a versatile figure in American comedy and drama.
