Will Ferrell, born John William Ferrell on July 16, 1967, is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer. He gained prominence as a cast member on the sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, where he performed from 1995 to 2002. Following his success on SNL, Ferrell starred in numerous comedy films including Old School, Elf, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step Brothers, establishing himself as a leading figure in comedy cinema.
