Tony Martin: podcast appearances and interviews

Anthony Edward Martin (born 16 December 1944, died 2 February 2025) was an English farmer known for a notable incident in which he shot two burglars in his home on 20 August 1999. One of the burglars died at the scene, while the other escaped with injuries. The event drew varied public reactions; some expressed sympathy for Martin due to his actions to defend his property, whereas prosecutors questioned his account and highlighted that he did not possess a valid firearms certificate. Martin was subsequently convicted of murder, a conviction that was later reduced to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. He served three years in prison after being denied parole. Beyond this incident, Martin was involved with the India New Zealand Business Council, where he held the position of deputy chair, contributing to the organization's efforts to foster economic and business ties between India and New Zealand.
