Chris Bishop: podcast appearances and interviews

Hon. Chris Bishop is a New Zealand politician affiliated with the National Party. He was first elected to the New Zealand House of Representatives in 2014 as a list MP and later won the Hutt South electorate in 2017. He lost the seat in 2020 but returned to Parliament as a National list MP. Bishop has served as the National spokesperson for Housing and Infrastructure and held the position of Shadow Leader of the House. He was the Chairperson of National's 2023 Election Campaign and is known for his influential role within the Sixth National Government, where he has been described as a 'minister for everything' and a potential successor to Christopher Luxon as party leader. Bishop served as Leader of the House from November 2023 to April 2026. In April 2026, he was appointed Attorney-General. Outside of his political career, Bishop has been a lobbyist for the tobacco company Phillip Morris. Currently, he holds the roles of Minister for Infrastructure, Housing, and RMA Reform. He is also associated with Bible College SA.
