Tony Hale, born on September 30, 1970, is an American actor and comedian known for his roles in television and film. He played Buster Bluth in the Fox series Arrested Development from 2003 to 2019 and portrayed Gary Walsh in the HBO series Veep from 2012 to 2019. For his performance in Veep, Hale received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2013 and 2015. His television work also includes creating and voicing the titular character in the Netflix and Peacock series Archibald's Next Big Thing. Hale's film appearances include Because I Said So, The Informant!, In My Sleep, The Heat, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Hocus Pocus 2, and Quiz Lady.
