Thomas Keller: podcast appearances and interviews

Thomas Aloysius Keller is an American chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author. He is known for his association with the Napa Valley restaurant the French Laundry in Yountville, California, which has received multiple prestigious awards. The French Laundry has been recognized with awards from the James Beard Foundation, including Best California Chef in 1996 and Best Chef in America in 1997. The restaurant has also been a consistent presence on the annual list of the Top 50 Restaurants of the World, although the voting process has since been changed to prohibit previous winners from being considered.

In addition to his work in California, Keller was awarded three Michelin stars in the inaugural Michelin Guide for New York City in 2005 for his restaurant Per Se and earned three stars in the inaugural Michelin Guide to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006 for the French Laundry. He is uniquely recognized as the only American chef to have received simultaneous three-star Michelin ratings for two different restaurants. His culinary establishments hold a total of seven Michelin stars, with three at Per Se, three at the French Laundry, and one at the Surf Club Restaurant.
