Tanya Taylor is a Canadian fashion designer born in Toronto, Ontario, and based in New York City. She is recognized for her colorful hand-painted prints and size-inclusive designs. Taylor graduated from McGill University with a degree in finance before studying fashion at Central Saint Martins and the Parsons New School of Design, where she enrolled in the AAS Fashion Studies program. In 2012, she launched her namesake label, which is available at major retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and Shopbop.

Her work has received notable industry recognition. Taylor was a top-ten finalist in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in 2014, a member of the Swarovski Collective during 2015–2016, and winner of the Gold Coast Award. She has also been nominated for the Fashion Group International's Rising Star Award and was included in Forbes 30 Under 30 List in the same year. In 2015, she became an official member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and was awarded the USA Woolmark Regional Prize for innovation in knitwear, advancing to the International Woolmark Prize finals.

Beyond her collections, Taylor is a founding member of Fashion Our Future 2020, which debuted a series of videos titled 'Things That Take Longer Than Registering to Vote' featuring prominent women and emphasizing civic participation.
