Steven Levitsky: podcast appearances and interviews

Steven Robert Levitsky is an American political scientist and professor of government at Harvard University. He is a senior fellow for democracy at the Council on Foreign Relations and also holds a position at the Kettering Foundation, a non-partisan research organization. Levitsky's research primarily focuses on Latin America, examining topics such as political parties and party systems, authoritarianism and democratization, and weak or informal institutions. He is well known for his work on competitive authoritarian regimes and informal political institutions. In 2018, he co-authored the bestseller How Democracies Die with Daniel Ziblatt. The book discusses threats to democratic systems and draws parallels between political developments in various regions and historical periods, including concerns about rhetoric and actions in contemporary American politics.
