Susan Stokes: podcast appearances and interviews

Susan Carol Stokes is an American political scientist and the Tiffany and Margaret Blake Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago. She is also the faculty director of the Chicago Center on Democracy. Her academic work focuses on Latin American politics, comparative politics, and the functioning of democracies in developing countries. She has held leadership roles within the American Political Science Association, including serving as the Chair of the Democracy and Autocracy section from September 2019 to September 2021 and beginning her term as President in September 2025. Stokes is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2022.
