Stephanie White: podcast appearances and interviews

Stephanie Joanne White is an American professional basketball coach, analyst, and former player. She has held several coaching positions including head coach of the Indiana Fever and the Vanderbilt Commodores, and more recently, she served as head coach of the Connecticut Sun. White played college basketball at Purdue University, where she contributed to the team winning the 1999 NCAA Women's National Championship. As a collegiate athlete, she earned the Wade Trophy in 1999, recognizing her as the top female basketball player in the nation. In high school, she attended Seeger High School in West Lebanon, Indiana, where she was named Indiana Miss Basketball in 1995, Gatorade National Player of the Year, and USA Today National Player of the Year. She participated in the WBCA High School All-America Game in 1995, earning MVP honors. White played professionally in the WNBA, with a career spanning five years including stints with the Charlotte Sting and Indiana Fever, retiring in 2004. She then embarked on a coaching career beginning with assistant roles at Ball State, Kansas State, and the University of Toledo. She joined the Chicago Sky as an assistant coach in 2007 and became head coach of the Indiana Fever in 2014, leading them to the WNBA Finals in her first season. After coaching Vanderbilt from 2016 to 2021 and a brief coaching hiatus, White returned to the WNBA in 2023 to coach the Connecticut Sun, leading them to consecutive playoff appearances. In 2024, she rejoined the Indiana Fever as head coach.
