Paige Bueckers: podcast appearances and interviews

Paige Madison Bueckers, born on October 20, 2001, is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She also competes for Breeze of Unrivaled. Bueckers played college basketball for the UConn Huskies, where she distinguished herself as a leading player. During her high school career at Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota, she was ranked as the top recruit in her class by ESPN and received national high school player of the year honors. In her debut season at UConn, she became the first freshman to be named national women's player of the year and helped her team reach the Final Four in 2021. Despite missing most of her sophomore and all of her junior seasons due to knee injuries, she led UConn to the 2022 national title game and contributed to the team's return to the Final Four as a redshirt junior. Bueckers won her first national championship and the Wade Trophy as a senior in 2025. She was a three-time unanimous first-team All-American in college and holds the highest career scoring average in UConn history at 19.9 points per game. Selected first overall by the Dallas Wings in the 2025 WNBA draft, she earned accolades including WNBA Rookie of the Year and All-WNBA Second Team honors in her debut season. Bueckers also made her debut with Breeze in Unrivaled in 2026, earning a spot on the All-Unrivaled First Team. She previously represented the United States at the youth international level, winning three gold medals and being named MVP at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup. She is a former Youth Olympic gold medalist in 3x3 basketball and has played for the senior national 3x3 team. In 2019, she received the USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year award.
