Shannon Sharpe: podcast appearances and interviews

Shannon Sharpe, born on June 26, 1968, is an American former professional football tight end known for his 14 seasons in the National Football League. He primarily played with the Denver Broncos and is regarded as one of the greatest tight ends of all time. Sharpe played college football for the Savannah State Tigers and was selected by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 1990 NFL draft. During his tenure with Denver, he was selected to seven consecutive Pro Bowls, earned four first-team All-Pro honors, and won two Super Bowl titles. In his career, he also played two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, earning an eighth Pro Bowl selection and winning a third Super Bowl. He was the first NFL tight end to amass over 10,000 receiving yards and retired as the NFL leader in tight end receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. His achievements led to his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. After retiring from professional football, Sharpe transitioned into broadcasting, appearing as an analyst for The NFL Today on CBS Sports. He co-hosted the show Skip and Shannon: Undisputed on Fox Sports 1 from 2016 to 2023. In the 2020s, he became a prominent figure in the sports podcast sphere, hosting Club Shay Shay and Nightcap. Following his departure from Undisputed in 2023, Sharpe joined ESPN as a weekly analyst on First Take until 2025.
